Highfield Road 21/12/2017 –

Caller reported that their neighbour’s home had been broken into sometime between 1700 hours on the 20/12/2017 and 1100 hours. Unknown suspect forced open garage doors on a yale lock and entered the garage. Suspect used tools from the garage to force open the integral garage door allowing access to the conservatory area. Suspect then used a hammer from the garage to smash the window of the upvc door muffling the sound using a pillow. Entry was then gained to the kitchen and entire house. A very untidy search was conducted of the entire property.

Burglary Other – 1

Horsendale Avenue 21/12/2017 –

A group of four unknown suspects had arrived in a dark blue car. One remained in the car whilst the other three entered the newsagents. The suspects had done this by first forcing/manipulating the locked, metal security gate then kicking the locked front door which damaged the door frame and allowed entry. Once inside they used a tool/implement to open the locked, metal cigarette cabinet. They have stolen cigarettes and tobacco from within. They had also opened various cupboard doors and had stolen a till drawer containing loose coins before making off at speed in the car. The building alarm was triggered. This incident happened at around 2115 hours. The caller stated that all the males had hooded tops with the hoods worn up and dark clothing on. The group were between 5ft 8 and 6ft, unsure of their skin colour and average builds.
