Nuthall East Burglary Alert

Alert message sent 01/01/2018 14:22:00

Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Good afternoon,

Nuthall East –

Burglary Other – 1

Nottingham Road 29/12/2017 –

The caller switched off their Christmas lights and drew their curtains at around 2015 hours. Neighbours rang the caller’s doorbell at 2100 hours to say that a blue and white bicycle was lying on its side in front of the garage behind the parked cars. The garage door was closed and locked. The caller’s neighbour rang the doorbell later the same night to say that someone had got into their garage and removed some timber packing and left it further up the drive. Their garage was being altered and had a tarpaulin over the front instead of a permanent door making access straightforward. The caller suspected that the thieves were disturbed by their neighbours returning home and the timber was left on the drive to warn them of cars approaching. This was an attempted theft and the bicycle had been left abandoned by the offenders. This was close to the junction with Spring Terrace.

Suspicious Incident - 1

Redbridge Drive 28/12/2017 -

Caller reported at 2235 hours that they had just heard a bang outside in their back garden and someone had opened the back garden gate.

Two officers attended to the area at 2335 hours and found the gate had been secured and everything appeared in order.

Thank you,
